Guv okays P80M for towns’ infra projects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Governor Lilia Pineda has approved the provision of at least P80 million for the priority development projects of each of the 20 municipalities in the province.
With this, the Pampanga mayors said they can now jumpstart the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure facilities and projects highly needed by their constituents.
Pineda earlier met with the 20 mayors of the province during an emergency meeting at the Capitol staff house inside the Clark Freeport Zone.
Candaba Mayor Jerry Pelayo, president of the Pampanga Mayors’ League, said each municipality will be given P4 million based on the submitted priority projects to the Provincial Board.
The governor said, however, that she would get first the authority and approval of the Provincial Board before she could release the said funds.
