Guv leads opening of roads in Sta. Ana
STA. ANA – Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda led the inauguration of the newly constructed roads in various barangays here on Tuesday.
The roads were constructed in the barangays of San Pedro, Sta. Lucia, San Nicolas, and San Joaquin to provide convenience to residents.

Engineer Mon Sagum, owner of Edmari Construction and Trading, which constructed the roads, said the funds came from the Provincial Government.
“Nung 2011, nagbigay ang kapitolyo ng P4 million sa munisipyo ng Sta. Ana na siyang ginamit sa pagpapagawa ng daan sa apat na barangay na tig-iisang milyon,” Sagum said.
The contractor stated that Municipal Government likewise received the first P4 million in 2010. The money was spent in constructing two classrooms in Barangay San Pedro here.
“Yung natitirang dalawang milyon ay pinagpagawa ng dalawa pang kalsada sa Santiago at isa pa sa San Joaquin,” he added.
Pineda, during the inauguration, was welcomed by Mayor Rommel Concepcion together with other local officials and residents.
The governor was accompanied by Board Members Monina “Mons” Laus and Trina Dizon.
Earlier, the Provincial Government has provided P80 million for the priority development projects of 20 municipalities in the province. Each municipality got a share of P4 million.
The same is intended for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of calamity damaged infrastructures.
