Bondoc leads opening of P1-M community road in Sto. Tomas
STO. TOMAS, Pampanga — Former fourth district representative Rimpy Bondoc led the opening of a P1-million community road in Barangay Poblacion here flanked by local rivals in municipal politics in a seeming show of political maturity.
The road project is expected to benefit students and motorists here in accessing the main nucleus of the town.
Bondoc said the project is part of the several ongoing projects in almost seven barangays of the town funded by his sister, incumbent fourth district Representative Ana York Bondoc-Sagum.
The project was made possible with the support of the Municipal Government.
Bondoc said there are several projects ongoing and accomplished in this town. These include the road approach to the town’s main bridge, a rural health unit, and covered courts at Barangay San Vicente and San Bartolome among others.
“These vital infrastructure projects are among the main needs of the town that we are addressing. The projects will have a great impact on the town and its different sectors,” said Bondoc, who is running for fresh term in the congressional race here in May, stressing that more projects will be given to the town along with a new classrooms and roads in the coming months.
Bondoc said around P13 million in projects have been appropriated for the town under the term of his sister fourth district Representative Ana York Bondoc-Sagum.
Bondoc also lauded the presence of rival political candidates in the municipal level who set aside political rivalry to attend the event.
He said politicians should be able to unite for common initiatives and advocacies for the good of their constituents.
“There is enough political maturity among local politicians here. We laud them for their effort to attend and set aside differences for the sake of the people,” Bondoc told Sun.Star Pampanga.
