Bataan hospitals start computerization system

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — District hospitals in Bataan have started to undergo system computerization after the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) installed in Bataan General Hospital (BGH) delivered “good outcome.”
“From this (HIMS), good outcome can be observed, from the ease of record keeping, tracking of patient’s information, reliable and transparent billing and cashiering up to the simple printing of reports,” said the Provincial Government of Bataan in a statement.
The district hospitals of Orani and Dinalupihan recently received 10 computer work stations and one computer server each as preparation for the network setups under the supervision of techno firm COMLOGIK.
The computerization of these hospitals is expected to hasten up billing process, secure patient’s information and fasten hospital procedures.
The said company will also provide computer literacy training for all the involved hospital employees before they engage to the use of HIMS.
The provincial government said the district hospitals will follow the automation after the information system of BGH matches that of private hospitals with the computerization starting almost two years ago.
“For the reason that their manual process turned into a computerized progression, everything became more swift and systematic,” said in the statement.
“Since, our Honorable Governor Enrique T. Garcia wanted these same results not only for the people and patrons of BGH only, but also for other district hospitals in Bataan.”
The upgrades of both district hospitals are led by the Management Information Services Office from the Provincial Capitol, headed by Engineer Gabriel Tolentino, and the Provincial Engineer’s Office on the lead of Engineer Enrico Yuzon.
