AUF to honor Dominican leader
ANGELES CITY — The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) will confer the distinguished University Medal of Honor upon University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary Rector Rev. Fr. Quirico T. Pedregosa Jr., OP during its college commencement exercises at the school’s Sports and Cultural Center today.
Father Pedgregosa, who also sits in the AUF Board of Trustees, is being cited in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Catholic education having served in various capacities the Dominican educational institutions in the country namely, the University of Santo Tomas, Aquinas University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Angelicum College, Our Lady of Manaoag College and Angelicum College.
Prior to his current post, he was Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines from 1992 to 2012 and General Council Member and Socius for Asia and the Pacific of the Master of the Order of Preachers in Rome from 2001 to 2008.
He is going to address 401 graduating students from the School of Medicine, College of Nursing and College of Allied Medical Professions led by the following Medicine honor graduates Kristine Joy L. Mendoza (Class Valedictorian and Most Outstanding Clerk), Erwin Abraham L Bondoc (Class Salutatorian and Anna Mae DL Duya (Class Rank 3).
