STA. RITA, Pampanga–At least 3,500 residents here attended the campaign sortie of vice gubernatorial bet Dennis “Delta” Pineda, vowing to support his candidacy as their “first gentleman” in their town.

In an interview, Conrado, 58, a farmer here, said Pineda is a “pro-masa” and a good leader that addresses and listens to the needs of their constituents.

“Bista man pu anak ya pero balu nalang pakiramdaman deng daing da reng pakakalulung ortelanu kalupa mi. Ekami man pu magkasakit manyawad saup kaya uling e masakit lalapitan (Though he is young, he listens to the problems of farmers like us. We don’t find it hard to ask help from him because he is approachable),” Conrado said.

Even if it’s not the political season, he said the vice gubernatorial bet’s doors are always open to the needy.
According to him, Pineda is a “true blue public servant who promotes the welfare of his constituents in every aspect.”

“Eman panaun ning eleksiyun ing painturu tamung Vice Gov Pineda marakal ya pu asusopan kareng masakit ampo kekaming ortelanu. Sana dakal lapa deng kalupa ng maging leader tamung masagling alalapitan at sasaup keng pangangailangan da deng karelang memalen (Even when there are no elections, our vice gubernatorial candidate has been helping many who are sick and even farmers. Hopefully, we can see more leaders like him),” he added.

Earlier, Pineda turned over at least 150 bunk houses to the victims of landslide in New Bataan, Compostella Valley under his Share Dreams Foundation.

Pineda said in a recent interview that it doesn’t require constituency to help the needy specifically in times of calamities.

“Hindi naman kailangan na kabalen o kalalawigan sila bago natin tulungan. Mula noong nagpunta ako noong December 2012 sa New Bataan naawa ako sa mga nasalanta ng landslide na natutulog sa mga tent. Nakita ko sa kanila ang ating mga Kabalen noong tayo ang nasalanta ng pagputok ng Mt. Pinatubo, kaya agad nating ipinagawa ang mga bunkhouses doon para makapamuhay na sila ng normal,” Pineda said.
