ANCHOR Land Holdings Inc. has programmed a record capital expenditure this year for the construction of its projects and for operating expenses.

Steve Li, Anchor Land vice chairman, told reporters the real estate developer will spend P5.5 billion this year, 83 percent higher than the P3 billion spent last year.

The capex will also cover the acquisition of additional 18,119 square meters of lot from D.M. Wenceslao and Associates Inc. in the Aseana Business Park in Paranaque City, the site of the company’s biggest project to date, the P4-billion SoleMare Parksuites Phase 3.
The record capex will be sourced through a combination of internally generated cash and bank finance.

Anchor Land has six ongoing projects namely, Admiral Baysuites along Roxas Boulevard, SoleMare Parksuites in Aseana Business Park, Mayfair Tower in Ermita as well as Mandarin Square, Wharton Parksuites and Anchor Skysuites, all three in Binondo, Mania.

The company, whose target market for most of its projects are the local Filipino Chinese communities, intends to launch two more projects within the year:
