Red Cross, Mitsubishi laud CarWorld

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. have lauded CarWorld Inc. for extending support to victims of a killer earthquake that hit Japan last March.
In separate letters to Levy P. Laus, chairman and chief executive officer of CarWorld, PNRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon and Hikosaburo Shibata, MMPC president and chief executive officer, both expressed their thanks for CarWorld’s generous support to Japan’s disaster victims.
“Your support to the Red Cross was a very crucial responses to Japan’s most vulnerable who needed help, but you also raised the stature of your Philippine Red Cross as a donor society, no longer just receiving material help but now providing financial support to the most suffering,” Gordon, a former senator, said.
For his part, Shibata said: Mitsubishi Motors Corporation-Japan through its President, Osamu Masuko, recently issued a formal thank you letter addressed to Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, expressing its heartfelt gratitude to many overseas business partners for their warm messages and generous supports extended following the recent disaster in the northeastern region of Japan.
“You have aided in providing relief to those who were left with little or nothing at all and you have assisted in restoring normalcy to the lives of those affected by the disaster,” Gordon said.
Gordon described Laus as “truly humanitarian”.
CarWorld Inc. is one of several automotive dealerships under the Laus Group, considered the biggest auto dealership network in the country today.
The dealership, established by Laus in 1978, marks its 33rd anniversary this month.
