"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day". How many times have we
heard this?
But how often do we give breakfast the attention it deserves? Let�s face it,
during the week we�re just too busy to spend time preparing a nutritious,
hearty breakfast. Getting ready for work � getting the kids ready for school
� the mind focused on the day ahead rather than the culinary satisfaction of
the moment. Nope! From Monday to Friday, breakfast as a proper meal just
doesn�t happen for most people. In fact, for many a cup of coffee and an
apple is about it. If that.
Even on Saturdays breakfast is not the top priority. Saturday is the day for
getting all those other things done for which there wasn�t time during the
working week. Shopping. Chores. Not to mention the social activities �
sports, parties, etc.
But then comes Sunday.
Ahhh � Glorious Sunday!
That wonderful day of the week when, after giving all week, we can feel less
guilty about taking back.
We can have a lie in. Time to think, meditate, ponder, consider. We can
contemplate a day of total relaxation. And, at last, we can think about a good
breakfast. A long, luxurious breakfast.
It�s a wonderful sunny Philippines morning.
Let�s have breakfast outdoors �
Near water �
And trees �
No music!
Just the sound of birds.
Alone or with good company � family � friends (but definitely NOT with
anyone associated with work or business; after all, it�s Sunday!)
An English breakfast.
Or an American breakfast.
How about a Filipino breakfast?
Or even a continental breakfast.
Breakfast at Clearwater. Giving yourself the Sunday you deserve.
