Woman stabbed to death by husband

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A woman was stabbed to death by her husband after a heated argument last Sunday in Barangay San Agustin Betis, Guagua town.

Police have identified the victim as Mary Jane Guanlao Mendoza, 33, who was killed by her husband Jimmy, 34, after a fight over the conditions of their ailing daughter.

Investigations showed that Mendoza shot Jimmy with a .22 caliber pen gun, hitting him in the chest, around 10 p.m. last Sunday.

The shooting prompted the husband to stab his wife in different parts of her body.

Recovered from the crime scene were the pen gun with one empty shell inside, one fragment and one folding knife approximately 25 centimeters long.
