Wine Tasting in Manila Tuesday 29th November Fine European Vintage Wine from Yats

Philippines Wine lovers will be treated to an exciting public wine tasting event to be held by Yats Wine Cellars in Ortigas, Metro Manila on Tuesday 29th November, 2011.

The theme of this wine tasting event in Manila is FINE VINTAGE WINES OF EUROPE. The objective of this Pre-Christmas tasting is to showcase some of Europe’s finest vintage wines. In addition to classic red wines, there is a special category for White wine and one for classic sweet wine and Port from Europe also.

These are the types of wines that will be featured in the groupings of this line-up:

Red Wine of France

White wine of France

Red wine of Italy

Red wine of Spain and Portugal

Sweet wine of Europe

Participants have a choice of different kinds of wine within each category. Some might prefer the more elegant charm of a matured vintage wine while others might opt for the more fruity younger versions.

This should be an interesting experience, tasting wines of different styles, strengths and weaknesses side by side. These are fine examples of classic European wines that carry with them centuries of tradition and legacy.

Format of YATS Wine Experience – YWE – Session

YATS Wine Cellars regularly hold non-commercial wine tasting to help wine enthusiasts expand their knowledge of wine in a most enjoyable and affordable way. These tastings are different from other commercial tastings. The wines from these tastings are not sponsored by a wine merchant and there are no salesmen. You are in the company of people from all ages and all walks with one common interest – wine.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at a discount. Each ticket comes with five tasting stubs. The wines are lined up at a wine service station. Present a ticket at this station to surrender the stubs to redeem a tasting pours (roughly 55-60ml per pour) of five wines on the line-up.

Someone will always be available to answer questions or discuss topics pertinent to the theme of the wines in the event. Otherwise the event is a self-paced tasting exercise that is the most structured and economical way to sample interesting wines.

In addition to enjoying and learning more about wine at the same time, many participants find this kind of wine tasting events to be a good place to meet new friends. Common interests in wine help make this kind of wine gatherings a pleasant way to spend an evening in Manila.

We are delighted to hold this session of YATS Wine Experience in one of the finest hotels in Metro Manila, The Oakwood Premium located in the heart of Ortigas Center, opposite Asia Development Bank.

Food and Dinner Reservations

Ticket price does NOT include food but participants can order from the Oakroom Restaurant. In fact, participants may reserve a table to enjoy dinner during the wine tasting event.

Tickets

Tickets are purchased in advance through Yats Wine Cellars. Each ticket contains five stubs. Each stub can be redeemed for a tasting pour of a wine of your choice available in each specific age group as long as the wine of your choice has not been finished.
