Accepting of video contest entries still open

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) wishes to inform professional and amateur filmmakers in Central Luzon that it is still accepting entries for the “Kwentong Kabayanihan” video contest.
CSC regional information officer Diana Henson said the competition, which the commission is holding in partnership with the Kabayanihan Foundation, is in search for 30-40 seconder originally produced videos that are anchored on the theme “Every Filipino is a hero. Every Filipino is part of the solution.”
The videos should be able to move ordinary Filipinos to act on the most pressing concerns in their immediate fields/circles/areas of influence. These should stir every Filipino to do something concrete for the country.
Henson added that filmmakers have the freedom to choose any genre as well as the language or dialect to use provided that it is comprehensible and not offensive to decency laws.
Those who will submit entries that use other dialects are required to put Filipino or English subtitles. Accepted video formats are .avi, .mpeg, .mp4 or any type that is compatible for upload in YouTube or Facebook.
The grand winner will receive P20, await while the 1st and 2nd runners up will take home P10,000 and P7,000 respectively.
Special awards will also be handed out for the entry that effectively highlights the norms of conduct of public officials and employees as stated in Republic Act 6713 (otherwise known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees) and the People’s Choice for the video with the most number of “likes” on the Kabayanihan Foundation Facebook page.
Henson advises those who are interested to download the full contest guidelines in the commission’s official website- www.csc.gov.ph.
