Most wanted drug pushers nabbed in Apalit
CAMP OLIVAS — The top three most wanted drug pushers in Apalit town were arrested during a joint police operation over the weekend.
Authorities arrested Carlito Ocampo, Flerida Ignacio and Peter Ignacio, residents of Barangay Tabuyoc, after being served a warrant of arrest for selling drugs.
The trio was served warrants of arrest for violations the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act No. 8294, which implements stricter rules on the illegal possession of firearms.
Recovered from the suspects were one .45 caliber firearm, three pieces magazine assembly, 17 pieces of .45 caliber ammunitions, one Ruger 5.56 revolver, one squire Bingham .22 air rifle, one piece hand grenade, and one .38 caliber firearm, among others.
Police Chief Superintendent Homer Penecilla, deputy provincial director for operations and head of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force, said the three were ranked at the top of the town’s drugs watch list.
Central Luzon Police Director Edgardo Ladao said the regional police will continue to address the drug menace in the region through its intensified supply and demand reduction mechanism.
