Maynilad sets P5.9-B pipe-laying project

MAYNILAD Water Services, Inc. on Monday said it plans to spend at least P5.9 billion to lay a new pipe network in several areas.
In a statement, Maynilad said it hopes to expand its primary pipelines in its concession area, which includes the cities of Pasay, Paranaque, Muntinlupa, and the province of Cavite.
The company said that the new pipe projects are expected to benefit more than 520,000 residents.
It will upgrade its pipe network in Parañaque by replacing old valves along Sucat Road corner San Antonio Valley and President’s Avenue in Parañaque City.
In addition to efficiently managing the water supply in the West Zone, this activity is expected to improve water pressure in parts of Parañaque.
The service improvement project will take place on 10 pm of June 7 until 6 p.m. of June 8, and interrupt water services along Dr. A. Santos (from Sucat Interchange to San Antonio Avenue), the areas of Fourth Estate, which includes Dreamland, Linotype, Area 1 to 6, Masthead, El Puentebello, Casa Filipina, Reyes Compound, JARN, St. Martin, and Sports Drive), Mon-El, Goodwill 2 and 3, Sampaloc, President’s Avenue, Teoville 3 (East & West).
The upgrade will also include Masville, Estrada 1 & 2, Maywood, Jackielou, RVG, Ireneville, Tahanan, BF Homes (Classics, Fernandez, Harp, Mayuga, Soriano, Phase 6, Circulo, North Tirona, BF Central, Agelor, Banzon, Acra, Whitegold, VOB, Teha, Sinagtala, Pitong Daan, V. Recto, Tirona South, Manresa, Carmen de Luna, Phase 6 East, Elizalde 3, Batac, NSHA, HEVA, EVS, West Executive, North Concha, CCDNA, PDP, Garden Abelardo, Southland Classics, Garden Homes Rio, 4S, Tropical South and EVA), Topland, Metrocor, Urbanville, and Golden Gate – all in Parañaque City.
